About real/brilliant

My name is Trish Lawrence. I've owned real/brilliant since
1995.
I help authors and small businesses go social.

Q: How did you get addicted to blogging? I was an early adopter who bored the world in 2005 with a daily report about what I ate for lunch. I started ghostblogging for a client, read everything published about blogs, and following the blogging greats: Problogger, Copyblogger, and Robert Scoble. I gave unsolicited advice to my company's U.S. sales department about utilizing social media. And of course, I blog. Visit my business blog here. (Okay, visit my personal blog here.)

Q: What are some contributions you’ve made to your profession—theories, articles, books? I’ve a non-fiction author (seven books, long out of print; my most recent kid's picture book was published in 2007) and I am very active in social media (thousands of Facebook and Twitter connections). These two qualifications make me particularly valuable as a creator of social media strategies for my clients. I know what works.

Q: What’s your working philosophy and approach to working with clients? I look at it as a full partnership—100% and 100%—both parties making sure the project is a success. I seek clients who are as invested in high-quality writing and social media strategy as I am.
